I had been wanting to make the time to get out to capture Dimmeys and Forges of Footscray’s former head office site, on Geelong Rd, but there never seemed to be a good time to allow the trip. As today was Australia Day, I forced myself out of the house around dawn, even though I would rather have stayed with the family as they slowly woke.
I was glad I made the trip, because I captured a lot of the images I had in mind, and the light couldn’t have been better.
